The reasoning behind the project is that many small businesses fail every year because of lack of vital business management knowledge. They build relationships with producers, campaign to protect traditional foods, organise tastings and seminars, encourage chefs to source locally, nominate producers to participate in international events, and work to bring taste education into schools. A great cooking school in a fantastic location on the northern tip of Upper Lough Erne, Ireland. Belle Isle is a 470 acre estate spread over eight picturesque islands, and offers self-catering accommodation as well as the cooking school. Helen did a cooking course there in 2006.
Well worth a visit.
